I just love the idea of Lucifer’s siblings disliking Alastor, and when it comes to Satan he won’t say anything, just straight up pummels him if he hears an insult or any form of disrespect.

FINALLY! BEELZEBUB AND ASMODEUS ARRIVE!! They. Have. So. Many. Details. *wheeeeeeze*

I personally have not had sugar pie, but it sounds delicious! From what I could gather, it's almost like a pecan pie without the pecan layer on top. If I am incorrect, those of you who HAVE had sugar pie, please hop in the comments.

As someone who is REALLY into the seven deadly sins, I originally had my doubts with the Hellaverse making the Princes of Hell positive versions of their respective sins (except for Mammon, who is the vice of Greed in its most awful glory). I mean, while the positive message and denunciation of religious madness is appreciated and needed (such as Asmodeus representing the modern, positive and non-religious meaning of lust while posing as the religious meaning of "lust"), it kind of removed something from the fact Hell is supposed to be... well Hell, a fucked up, horrible shit-hole where everything keeps going wrong for people.

But now that Hazbin Hotel is out I am at peace with this, because it was all to better make a parallel between the Princes of Hells and the Overlords. The Overlords truly depict the seven deadly sins in what they have of most horrible and evil, and thus make perfect "evil twins" to the Seven Deadly Sins demons. Valentino is the evil lust to Asmodeus positive lust ; Rosie and the cannibals are a dark reflection of Queen Bee's positive vibes ; Vox, Velvet and Alastor are all much more prideful in a negative way than Lucifer himself. In fact, the battle between Alastor and Lucifer in episode 5 truly highlights the "regular" pride of Lucifer, just misguided self-centeredness and deep confidence issues/self-loathing leading to a massive "I'm the best showman" persona ; to the arrogance of Alastor, the manipulative, ambitious demon who is obsessed with being respected and feared, and who keeps trying to take down seen "rivals" even when they are way above him. (There's a whole thing to say about Alastor being just as much of an "attention-whore" than Vox, but in a different - more intelligent and reserved way, like how he was clearly annoyed by Carmilla shooting down any talk about his mysterious disappearance)

This truly drives well the point that the real evil in the world of the Hellaverse comes from humans and humanity, by showing how the "fallen angel" demons are roughly positive, just not conforming Heaven's strict rules ; but the Overlords are truly depraved and vicious. Thus, in a twist, these over-powered Sinners are better at depicting the cardinal vices than the Seven Princes of Hell themselves.

Except for Mammon of course, 'cause nobody can top him as the greediest bastard.

I’ve been thinking about how this image heavily implies that the events of the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia transpired in the Hellaverse, and it gave me a really fun idea:

The band of demons referenced in the line “And then a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this” was actually the other Seven Deadly Sins.

This idea is made even more humorous given that it would imply that:

A. The Sins are basically always on call for a jam session.

B. They had front row seats to Lucifer losing a fiddle playing match against some random kid from Georgia.

A/N: Kinda short and lazy sorry about that. Reader is seen as fem here, but you can imagine them as male voices if wanted.

Oh yeah. Belphegor!Reader can control people with their voice. Their voice is hypnotizing, even if they aren’t using their power.

They use that to their advantage. A lot. When things don’t go their way, they use their power.

That’s one of their jobs. A pop star, despite the fact they hate doing work.

After the battle and the Finale song, you go home to your people.

You were gone for so long, they didn’t know if they could function without you!

The second you got back to your home, you laid on the ground and popped a few sleeping pills. After doing so, you fell asleep for about 3 days.

When you awoke and were served food, you decided to check out the damage to your ring.

Some buildings destroyed, and panicked looking people on the streets.

You got intel on the fact that almost none of your people are sleeping well. They were too shaken up by the extermination.

That happens almost every extermination, but this one was worse.

Maybe it was because you disappeared without a word, or maybe it was the fact sinners went to war with angels. You weren’t sure.

You thought about a plan for a day. What could you do to uplift your people’s spirits?

A song. You had a performance coming up, so you could sing a reassuring song for them!

The day of your performance comes and it seemed like every Sloth Ring inhabitant showed up.

As they did, you began singing your first song. Your sweet, sweet voice filled the ring as you jumped around and displayed your powers.

While doing this, speckles of your power floated around your audience and put them in a slight hypnotized trance for a moment.

This gave them the ability to see the ending of the fight. Once they snapped out of it, they watched as you returned to the stage.

You were more active than ever. It made your people wary, but happy in a way.

If you’re happy, then there’s nothing to worry about.

After your song, Sweet Dreams by Beyoncé, ended, you stood in the middle of the stage while looking at your people.

Cheers erupted throughout the entire crowd.

You decided to take it up your song count. You normally only sing one song after a few decades.

But you decided to sing 3 this year.

Your next song was softer. It was about staying positive through life’s storms.

This song made your people cheer and sing with you. Clean by Taylor Swift made your people nearly cry.

During this song, you showed how you can stay positive even after war.

You jumped around on clouds, threw confetti, etc.

As your song finished, you stood on a platform that emerged in the middle of the ground.

The next song you sung was a little deeper. You thought it would be a good song to end on.

Rise up by Andra Day. This song was perfect for your situation.

You manipulated your voice to make your people tired. That was towards the end of your song.

As much as you hated working, you couldn’t do it without your people. You hoped your songs would help them.

And they did.

Reports of better sleep had surfaced and your businesses were booming now more than ever.

Your people will forever thank you for the stuff you’ve done.

Lucifer's Pride

Fittingly for someone who is the Deadly Sin of Pride, Lucifer's main issues in his relationship with Charlie stem from being too proud to admit how much he loves her directly until the events of the episode "Dad Beat Dad".

Another trait of pride he has also involves his relationship with Charlie, refusing to accept Charlie needs anyone's help but his. But Lucifer's help basically amounts to "I will give you anything you want because I'm the strongest being in hell" which misses the point Charlie is making while Alastor offers more indirect methods to accomplishing Charlie's goals that are more likely to succeed than just forcing everyone to do what you want. Funny enough, Alastor playing up being a fatherly substitute to Charlie hurts Lucifer's pride of being her father.

From the start, it's clear that Lucifer never went out of his way to physically visit Charlie. One reason is, as he stated, depression. But it's also characteristically very prideful of him to not show up until Charlie is the one to take action and explicitly invite him to the hotel.

The resolution of their strained relationship makes sense as well; by opening up to Charlie about his failures and insecurities, Lucifer displays humility, the opposite of Pride, and the only true antidote to shame. What is more, this opening up allows him to see Charlie for who she truly is, and fall into the more virtuous side of his Sin by taking due Pride in his daughter and how she is following in his footsteps.

Even his introduction also shows his pride in action. He makes a rubber duck that can backflip and breathe fire... which he then throws aside like trash in a few seconds. Anyone else will be impressed by such a feat of engineering and creativity, but Lucifer's pride set such a high standard that not even this can remotely impress him.

Lucifer is also shown to be rather depressed and the reasons are fairly numerous: he was kicked out of Heaven for defying the rules, in hell he's only able to see humanity at it's worst because of his own mistakes, he lost his wife and got stranded from her own daughter; he probably believes he hit rock bottom at that time. The audience can see how miserable he really is, yet as the phone call goes, Lucifer goes all on it's way to pretend he's totally fine, that he's been doing important thing that kept him busy and puts a jovial mask all the way through. Lucifer's pride is so high it forbids him to even openly admit to his daughter he has been rather miserable and needs a lot more help and confort that he lets on, acting high and mighty during his song with Alastor and putting smiles and exhuberance to cover up the fact he's trying so hard to not fall into despair.

It's only at the end when he decides to be humble when Charlie can finally see that beneath the apparent aloofness, her father was actually in emotional pain and yet he still loved her despite everything when Lucifer finally gets a chance to get the appreciation he desperately needed. Sometimes depressed people are often prone to believe they're supposed to be fine and use arrogance to not be perceived as whiny, often avoiding seeking help because they just can't accept their own feelings of sadness or anger.
